Corn
Corn is an alternative to pellet fuels,
though it does have a higher ash content. We buy only #2 corn, which is rigorously controlled to minimize ash content to about 1% ash.
Providing it is appropriate to do so in your stove, this product can also be mixed with wood to provide an economical alternative to burning
pellets alone. However, for the 2006-2007 heating season, we are recommending wood pellets over corn to our customers due to rising
corn prices and falling pellet prices.
